tyloses are balloon like outgrowths that extends from xylem parenchyma into the xylem vessels which prevents the entry of water

tyloses parenchymal outgrawths or something that blocks or plugs the xylem vessels to prevent further damage to the plant if ther is an infection or drought. so i guess the answer is (3). is it?
