there are 4 mechano-receptors sensitive to various kinds of touch 1)Meissner's corpuscles- They are a type of nerve ending in the skin that is responsible for sensitivity to light touch. 2)Pacinian corpuscles- They respond only to sudden disturbances and are especially sensitive to vibration. The vibrational role may be used to detect surface texture, e.g., rough vs. smooth. 3)Ruffini corpuscle- is a slowly adapting mechanoreceptor found in the cutaneous tissue of humans. is sensitive to skin stretch, and contributes to the kinesthetic sense of and control of finger position and movement. useful for monitoring slippage of objects. 4)merkels disc- found in the basal epidermis and hair follicles. They provide information on pressure, position, and deep static touch features such as shapes and edges. *krause's end bulbs- The end-bulbs of Krause are thermoreceptors, sensing cold temperatures. so i think the answer might be (2) krause's end bulbs.
