Put 1/x in the expression of f (x)=x^2-1/x^2...... the expression will be changed to 1/x^2-x^2 which is equal to -f (x)....

In the expression of f(x), put x=(1/x). Hence we get f(1/x)=(1/x^20-(x^2),ie, -f(x)

expand x2- 1/x2 such that you get (x-1/x)(x+1/x). now we can substitute f(1/x) in places of x. after substituting we get, (1/x-x)(1/x+x). open the brackets and we get (1/x2-x2) which actually looks as if we got it by changing signs..so the correct option is 2.
