exp(t) is increasng fn from -ve axis to +ve axis .a sys is said to be stable if its impulse response is finite .here exp(at)u(t) will be 0(a finite value) at some point if a is negative, similarly "B" should be positive hence ans C. still in a doubt see exp(t) diagram .

for a system to be stable the impulse reponse shold be convergent,so for alpha -ve & beta +ve the impulse response converges. so (d) is the option.
