About the JIPMER Entrance Exam

Jawaharlal Institute of Post - Graduate Medical Education and Research ( JIPMER) conduct own entrance test (JIPMER Exam) every year for admission to MBBS. The JIPMER  will be conducted in the month of May . There are 100 seats under JIPMER  out of which 82 will be filled via the entrance exam and rest will be filled by the nominees of Indian Govt. The score will be valid for 1 year only.

How JIPMER score is Calculated ?

Every year a minimum score is decided by the controlling bodies of the exam

The minimum score is called as JIPMER Cutoff Marks. The candidates who score above this cutoff will be included in the merit list.

General: 50%

General OPH: 45%

JIPMER Cutoff for OBC/SC/ST: 40%

The candidates have to score at least the above specified marks to be included in the merit list

Who writes it ?

Student must pass class 10+2 exam with minimum of 50% . The Current 12th students can also appear for the examination

Application Cost and Exam Fees

General / OBC Category: Rs.1000/-(SC/ST Category: Rs.800/-) + Transaction Charges as applicable. Payment through Computer generated Challan Form in any branch of State Bank of India.

JIPMER Registrations :-

The application form is available in the JIPMER campus with the cash payment of Rs.1000/- . The aspirants can also obtain the form from the selected SBI branches. The Students can register the for the exam through the online mode and take the print out of the filled form and send to the admission office along with the DD of the fee from SBI.
